I cannot believe that INDIAN MAN actually has the cheek to complain when it was him who was in the wrong. I'm just doing my job.

It happens like this.

This bugger here, came up to me to ask for extra time to play in the futsal court. Well, as kind as I am, i had already given them extra 15 minutes to compensate for starting a little late. (Where they started like 5 minutes late?!) So they came up to the office demanding for extra time. This is how the conversation goes. It wasn't exactly as it is, but the content is there. There are some words he said to me that left a huge impression on me which i actually remembered the whole sentence/phrase. I will highlight them in red.

Indian Man: Hey boy, so fast end ah, can extend anot?

Me: Oh, I'm sorry, you have to pay to play in the court.

Indian Man: We started late leh, can let us play a little longer?

Me: Sorry, no. (I smiled) I have already let you play in the court for extra 15 minutes. The time is already up. So do you wish to extend your court hours?

Indian Man: huhhhhh.... Come on lah, be flexible. Half an hour more can?

Me: (Thinking, half an hour more would mean 45 minutes later, fuck, why don't u just pay for that one more hour.) I'm sorry sir, ( i cannot believe i called that fucker, SIR) i've already let u play for extra 15 minutes, so my answer is no.

Indian Man: be flexible lah, i member here so long already.

Me: If every member comes up and tell me this, this company will make a huge loss. so still no.

Indian Man: C'mon lah, be flexible, last week the other guy also allow me play extra. since no one using, let me play awhile longer lah.

Me: No. No pay no play.

Indian Man: be flexible lah.

And he kept going on about me having to be flexible with him to allow him to play for free about 3 minutes, and as persistent and "stubborn" which he used to describe me in the complaint letter, as i can be, i insisted on the answer, "NO" Until to the point, i can't take his nonsense i simply said,

"I don't need someone like YOU to teach me how and when to be flexible."

He exploded.

He asked for my name. He insulted my name.

"your name isn't some ronaldo that i should remember. write down ur name on a paper and give me."

"i'm not ur slave to do that for you."

"is this the type of customer service u give me."

"to you yes, to the rest no."

then he proceeded to acting like some dumb fuck who don't know how to pronounce my name. if he knows soccer, he should know rafael benitez and tennis, rafael nadal. just that my spelling was ph instead of f.

well, i'm lazy to type everything out. the part where disturbs me the most is....

Indian Man: You don't have the balls to tell me ur name issit?

Me: I have two balls inside my pants.

Indian Man: SHOW ME!

Immediately after that, I shut the glass window.

Before he asked me to show him my balls, he was getting all vulgar at me. Hurling vulgarities at me like it was free. Surprisingly, i didn't use vulgarities on him. i remain calm and conquered this situation by smiling back at him which in turn make him more frustrated.

Well, i ended up calling the police. the police made this case as a dispute case, which i thought was ridiculous. i should have scolded that bloody indian before the police comes and COME UP WITH SOME FAKE STORY WHICH MAKES ME LOOK LIKE SOME ANGEL THAT HAS FALLEN FROM THE SKY.

FOR GOODNESS SAKE. he asked me to show him my balls. and in the complaint letter, he said i want to show him my balls. in fact, whatever he wrote in the mail was an insult to me, an insult to my character.

anyway, he demanded an apology to him from me. (i was like WTF)

in the first place, he was wrong. how i wish i could post up the complaint letter here. i know its unprofessional to do it.

FUCK THESE INDIANS WHO GAVE ME SUCH PROBLEMS. he compared myself to him and called me a lowlife who is SLAVING MY ASS OFF in the office while he's outside playing.

FUCK HIM.

we are all equal irregardless of what we are doing. you fucker, should know ur status. you fucker should know that, YOU are not high and mighty. i know this sounds racist, BUT, just because you are an indian, doesn't mean you are superior to chinese. I'm not saying that the Chinese are superior, but rather, we are all equal!!!!

AW MAN. Singapore is such a peaceful country where all races are living in harmony, while some of the people here are actually trying to disturb the peace here by hurling harmful comments.

It's been more than a year i've last updated this blog. Time really flies. The previous post was an overseas trip with my platoon mates, a blink of an eye, I'm already out of army.

For more than a year, nothing was penned down in this blog. I thought, I should start again.

Army was a chaotic life for me, I don't want to re-visit those memories in my unit. I shall start with one day before I am officially out of army.

That day was a great day. I got my driving license at the first try. After which, I spent almost 2 weeks looking for a job outside. I landed on a job which requires a very thick skin - direct sales. I hated that job. It is a tough job, I had to convince people to buy my promotional packages from me. I left that job eventually. I felt guilty for selling such things to people, it may be a good deal, however, I didn't feel all that great about it. It is a 6-day work week job. I had to give up going to the beach which I used to go every Saturday. The pay "might" have sounded quite alot, but in actual fact, I thought I was paid lousily. People convincing me not to quit because they are looking after their own interests. These people have an ulterior motive, and I know they are not sincere at all. Finally, I quit.

Then, I went to look for another job. After 2-3 days, I managed to get another job which I am currently in now. Not that fantastic either, but at the very least, it is SO much better than my previous job. I'm doing something mundane everyday. Working on every Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, it just suddenly dawned upon me that I should have extended my service in the army. At least, I'm getting a MUCH better pay and I need not burn my weekends except for duties. Finally, I'm quitting this job.

Whatever I am doing here, does anyone care?

Some things are not done properly here. When some things went haywire, myself and some others are left behind to solve it. The ones up there are not really handling it. When I was an officer, did I actually do such things to my clerks? Sometimes, I really wonder, did I or did I not? And if I did, I can actually understand how they feel.

Darn. I need to look for a job now.

I just took part in the Adidas Sundown Marathon. This was the note I type in facebook.

Having to take part in the Adidas Sundown Marathon is something that i never thought i will do. It certainly feels good right after completing this 42km run. i had a great sense of satisfaction and relief upon completion. Though I'm aching all over, suffering from abrasions in between my thighs (which got the attention of girls throwing me dirty looks when i walk, being teased at by my classmates and colleagues at work) I am glad that I took part in this run.

This run is like having a battle within yourself - giving up or to continue. I had no intention of completing this run at a certain timing, but rather, my goal was to finish it.

From the start, my friends and i were running together. Up till a certain point, we decided to run at our own pace. Wenjin took off first, where i had to take a leak at the first aid point. Daniel then over took Clarence and myself. After which, we overtook Daniel. Daniel was the one who surprised me the most. He, somehow twisted his butt cheeks (alright, it's butt muscles) and hence, was unable to run. It was near 10km when he started walking all the way to the end point. (which is 32km later)

My impression of Daniel has always been one who will seek the easy way out, look for the quickest possible way to get out of trouble or simply, just give up. However, right after this run, i realised i was wrong. Despite getting "injured" (which i don't really know and understand how) he persevered all the way thinking of completing this run before the sun rises. Although he failed, at least he completed the 42km. I thought we will find him at the medical posts at the end point. At least, that's what Wenjin and Clarence thought as well. A slap right in the face - Daniel ain't a weakling.I can't actually believe that i finished this 42 km. i ran for the first 25km and after that, my legs cant carry me any longer. i had to walk. At that point in time, i was feeling all down and demoralised.

"why the fuck did i pay 60 bucks to torture myself!?"

that was the type of mentality i was having in my mind. a debate was going on in my mind. Every Kilometre seems further each time. Everytime i see a 1 km mark, it just dawned upon me that i have THAT MANY kilometres to go. it was a terrible experience. at this 25th km, my cuff muscles are on the verge of cramping, my soles, i feel like they are being poked by thousands and thousands of needles. Every step i took, it is awfully painful. the moment i start to jog, my cuffs almost cramp and that left me no choice but to walk. my thighs and my armpits are starting to feel the pain, i can feel the abrasion that im having between my thighs. i had to walk like a duck, raise my hand a little higher to prevent the rubbing of my arm against my top. i feel like a weirdo walking at 3plus am. Tired, exasperated, lonely, i wished my other friends could catch up on me and accompany me to walk. Walking alone in THAT condition, is definitely a challenge - a situation that i don't want to encounter. i have to constantly motivate myself to move forward.

i started singing in my mind. this song was repeatedly played in my mind, "No Boundaries" It was this song that kept me motivated for a while. I had to do things to entertain myself. One thing which really defines who i am. I saw flashes of camera, i moved out of the crowd, get a prominent spot, act strong, once the camera flashes, my job is done. i continued to walk. it was fun entertaining myself this way. i saw interesting people along the way - an auntie, with white hair, afro hairstyle, dressed up in all black, with white lights all over her top, was running 42km. she was like a bunch shining stars running the 42km. after which, i heard some guy, singing a canto song loudly. i met zhen hui at one of the turning points and there she was shouting, "Raphael! You damn slow leh! Hurry finish can!" Too tired to respond to her, i merely showed her the bye bye hand sign. I met zhiyuan while running also, was surprised to see that he maintained his fitness. The whole time when i was walking, i was hoping to see someone i know so that he/she could talk/walk with me when he/she is tired. But to no avail.

After a while, i started to pace. (Yes, army, pacing to predict how much distance that i have covered) I started to do mental calculations to estimate how many steps i need to take to make a 100m. i did this for several kilometres. it was interesting, towards the end, my pacing was good, i managed to hit 1km almost accurately. During the last 3km, i met Cpt Goh, my PC in ocs. well, he's having a hard time too. We're basically walking together to the next water point. he did some stretching at that point while i carried on to prevent the breaking of my momentum. Until towards the last kilometre, i started to run. I had enough rest (all the way from 25km to 41km, that's a total of 16km that i've managed to walk) and i told myself to finish the last stretch. the sooner i finish, the sooner i get to rest proper. i then picked up my pace and start to overtake people. one by one, step by step, i got closer to the finishing point.

then, it struck me. i was suddenly all motivated.

I saw a cameraman at the finishing line.I told myself, to look strong and be at my best when i cross the finishing line. I gave it my all to finish the race.

It was quite an awesome experience, experiencing many different types of emotions along the race, and i am glad, i did this when i'm still fit enough. Being able to finish this race is common, however, being able to take up this challenge, is not what everyone can do.

In future, whether will i take part in marathons again? i will carefully consider, it is tormenting.

I am certainly recovering from my abrasions already. I feel great!

However, the atmosphere in the office for the past 2 days has been disturbing. I wonder, what went wrong.

i'm back!

and yes, i arrived in singapore on the 27th morning 2 am. photobucket is really slow, and this explains why i'm only updating my blog only today.i finally managed to finish uploading the pictures that i wanted to post. anyway, my trip is thailand is pretty much interesting; met a few trannies here and there and of course, JENNY, the canteen's tranny - everybody's favourite. as if. she totally disgusts me, especially when she tries to flirt with me and my friend. the tone that she use, eewww.

it's been quite a pleasant trip to thailand, from the day i left singapore to the day i reach singapore. we took several pictures here and there and in total, i shot 700 pictures, and yes, im crazy. the weather in thailand is extreme. when it comes to hot, it's really damn hot, when it comes to cold, it's really cold. other than that, i think thailand is fine. something thailand has but not singapore is the sky. it's really clear at night where one can see many stars, as there are no clouds at all. yup, i saw many shooting stars when i was in the field. i did write my journal when i was in thailand, but i am lazy to copy everything here.

i've been in camp for 3 days already and i'm already starting to feel bored. how am i going to survive the 20 plus days in Thailand?! i am only leaving for Thailand on monday afternoon, luckily there's a break in between where i can use this time to play. we've been doing AOP for 2 days, and tomorrow we have some stupid run. some stupid run whereby WE have to run IN STEPS - LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT LEFT~~ get it?

it's awfully retarded.

Thailand trip is going to suck. faces with camou cream. FUCK. for consecutive 4-5 days in the field with the camou on the face.

ARGH...

i'm booking out tomorrow, can't wait for book out..

counting down to new year was done at qian's place this year, not with the usual 2/4 people. it was with zhen hui, josephine, tammie, qian, kiak, jacob, guan zhen and hui xiang. okay, it was rather fun and interesting to be counting down at his place. played several games which were rather retarded. drank quite a bit that night. zhenhui made some BROWNIES, not cake, for us. SPECIALLY FOR ALL OF US.. haha.. later she say i not appreciative again. anyway, i appreciated her efforts of making the brownie and the jelly for everyone. it tasted quite nice. after i conned her that it's semi buffet, she realised that i lied, she wasn't pissed. but still, felt abit guilty, cos she rushed just to make those sweet stuff.

anyway, we took several photos, countdown this year was rather interesting. would be posting them only when im at home.

it's been quite a while i've last updated my blog. celebrated christmas at venetia's place, eating steamboat. of course, with the usual volleyball people, zhenhui, josephine, javier, venetia, tammie, melissa, zhi sheng and also, sengkiak and qian xiang, and venetia's boyfriend and his friend. nothing much happen, just that, there isn't anything special about that day, other than it's christmas, and it doesn't appear to look like christmas at all. the atmosphere wasn't there. photos are at http://zhenhuii.livejournal.com, zhenhui's blog.

after counting down, kiak and i headed to qian house to drink. didn't drink alot, just a few cups and then i headed home. on christmas day, went to play soccer at CHS. then went to watch i am legend with kiak. that show is a disappointment. it wasn't as nice as i thought. at night, book in. damn sian.

this year's birthday, i spent it in outfield. what's worse was, this day was the worst day ever. everything seems so screwed around. something surprising happened, qian, kiak and guanzhen came to my room and sang happy birthday at 12 midnight. quite cool eh. and zhenhui called me to tell me happy birthday. lol.. touched.. ha.

anyway, fieldcamp really sucks. missions FAILED. too bad.

finally booked out and got out of that wretched place. i'm going to play like nobody's business over the holi. i'm still playing mahjong at this hour with clarence, jinming and hengda. lost like 15 bucks in the first round. playing another round now..

I guess i will just stick to blogspot. Anyway, yesterday was a fine day, a fine weather at the beach. I hung out with my volleyball juniors and teammates. Just too bad, cherling couldn't make it. Actually it was meant for her, since she just came back from Austrailia. Well, not many came anyway. But there were more during dinner. It's been such a long time i've been to the beach. Unfortunately, there were very few courts at the beach, in fact, we only stumbled upon 1. Lcukily the sun was out, i got myself tanned and burnt. HOHO. After sentosa, we went new york new york at city link for dinner and then chocolate cafe for dessert. Some pictures taken....

i wanted to try out using livejournal, but it seems like it's tough to do so. anyway, this is what i did for the past days.

The next day, we went over to play soccer at St Wilfreds. Played against platoon 1 and i was the keeper. i conceded 4 goals. I can't play soccer for nuts. Of course, we lost with 2 goals. I wanted to donate blood on that very same day, but wasn't allowed to because i had fever within the 3 weeks. wasted my time there waiting and waiting. in the end, only qian xiang was the only person who was able to donate. who would have thought that the one with the huge tummy can donate. haha. we then headed to ben's place for bbq but it rained and then chilled at his place.

it's a darn boring day in camp today. i've been eating non-stop since morning. there's endurance training this morning, running 6km in SAFTI. i was darn tired right after the run. JCC has certainly made my physical fitness to drop. i can barely do 12 pull-ups now. i can only do 10!! WTF. i got to train back my fitness. tomorrow i've got a mission - a night one, and this explains why i book out on saturday. everyone is busy preparing for tomorrow, but i seemed to be doing nothing at all.

another 10 working days, and i will be leaving for thailand. it's this fast, it's this close, it's going to be my turn to be commissioned soon. this saturday is the current seniors commissioning parade. can't wait for that day to come. in other words, pay rise.. HA..

I'm finally back from BRUNEI!! Life there is definitely tough. Of course, i got my JCC badge. =D It was a very long journey to the camp. We switched from air transport, to land, then to water transport, and reached there at about 8 am the next morning. It certainly took us really quite some time to reach the camp. We landed at about near 5 am. I slept throughout the entire journey, to conserve my energy for the day. On the first day there, most of the time we're settling adminstration, settling down and going to our respective beds in the respective long houses, drawing stalls. It's been quite busy. Well, one sad thing is, me and my buddy has to share ONE single locker and the locker itself is pathetically small. I guess it's alright, in the end, most of us left our things OUT of the locker. On the first day, things are so MESSY inside the long house; everything is everywhere. Seeing it to be so messy is certainly an eyesore. We had infantry training that day as well, a rehearsal for the actual thing for the next day. TROUBLESOME as usual. It was supposed to be a dry run. It's such an irony that it rained.

For the first few days of the stay in Brunei was infantry training - CWO and PBC. I was in the "saikang" party that day, so had to wake up earlier just to do "saikang". Training is still as boring. I'm never interested in Army. My combat swim was FUCKED up. Swimming in a group of 4, we are supposed to reach the other bank, at a specific point. It seemed like it wasn't successful during the first attempt, so we were brought back to the bank and swim again, and yet again, we couldn't reach the other bank at that specific point. It is certainly screwed. After the training that day, the "saikang" party had to keep the boats and wash them. Washing the boats was quite fun. The boats are extremely heavy. During PBC, I didn't fire any blanks! So my rifle was 100% clean. Sad thing is, it was hard to keep track of the number of rounds my team fired. I was in the GPMG team. Most of the time, i was concerned about collecting expended rounds, and the metal links, because we have to collect 100% expended rounds. In other words, it was quite slack for me and i needn't carry the HEAVY tripod. Sadly, at the later part of the day, we're handed over to the instructors of the camp there. We then went through revision for JCC. It was quite useful as i forgot most of the stuff i've learnt earlier on.

It was the start of the preparation of JCC since day 5. It is basically on revision and getiing familiar with the ground there. It can be quite boring and tiring, as we had many many late nights just to settle admin stuff. Finally, there came JCC on day 7 where the STRICT inspection took place, to the extent whereby we had to do a body search as well.

It took us 4 hours to search for the first checkpoint! FUCK. It can be done within 45 minutes, instead we took 4 hours. I was in the same group as Weijie, Weiyang, Guanzhen, Ali, Clarence and Kahhock. My role was a plotter. Using 4 hours to find the first checkpoint was a blessing in disguise. Because of that, we skipped the second checkpoint. The second checkpoint was totally out of the way. Then we found a water body, and got to "bathe" there. We harboured at some place at night, where we were severly attacked by SANDFLIES! IRRITATING, it disturbed our sleep like nobody's business, the whole night, we're scratching and scratching. In addition, it rained that night as well.

On the second day, as we moved on, we found a really steep and slippery slope. This is where the fun seeps in. Weiyang slide down the muddy ground, and he really slide at GREAT speed. it was quite funny, everyone was laughing and enjoying that moment of sliding. Then we hit another water body, a small one and we played water there. Wasted quite some time on playing, but it was worthwhile. It was refreshing and it made things easier as everyone's morale was quite high. Our harbouring site for the second day was horrid - small and small. It's really small. we had no fire that night, so clarence was seriously attacked by sandflies, only him alone. I had applied loads of insect repellent so i guess it was avoidable for me. Guan zhen can't sleep that night, partly because of sandflies also, and secondly, was my snoring - it was thunderous. While he was awake, he heard someone crying. Clarence cried. I think the sandflies attack is really "jialat" for him.

It was weijie's birthday on the third day of nomad. We got ourselves bamboo that day and it saved us alot of trouble of making FORK AND SPOON! We managed to reach endpoint by the given time and we got ourselves 20/25. Sadly, Dengsi's group got 1 point because they were late. I don't know whether it is fortunate when i heard his members are coming to my group, as it became compulsary for us to score full points for the second exercise and the requirement for that is very high. It's difficult to reach endpoint within 20 hours. Upon hearing the news of the group, our wing com. actually came to talk to us. On the commencement of the second navigation exercise, it became clear that we need to get this full 20 points in order to help them pass, so the weijie weiyang and me decided to chiong for them and help them get this 20 point. It was a challenge to climb the first mountain - it's rocky and steep. We only had 1.5 hours to reach the top, and fortunately, we meet some kind souls along the way to aid us up to the top of the mountain. They knew about the situation of the members who needed the 20 points badly. We managed to hit the first checkpoint that night. We had our very first fire, started by wilfred. It was quite a small flame but it is still better than nothing. We managed to dry our socks. We set off real early the next day, as time was not on our side. We tried to advance as fast as we could. We managed to clear the checkpoints that we needed to clear. On our way to the third checkpoint, weiyang actually fell off a bridge. FIRST AID really comes into handy here, and i'm quite glad that i actually absorbed what i learnt. His shoulder was partially dislocated. We got to the top of mount biang on the same day. It's really tiring and high. The journey up is certainly mentally challenging, it's not about our physical strength already when we're on our way up. It was quite an achievement when we reached the top and of course, i saw the message left by Andy when he was there during his stay in Brunei. That day, we had quite a big fire and it was a warm night. We set off really early the next day as we have no much time left. We almost couldn't make it that day due to my indecisiveness, even weiyang was pissed about how i navigated that day. Upon reaching end point, i got stuck in mud up til half my thigh. Well, we're lucky we got full 20 points, was really happy back then. On that very day, we got inserted to our Forager sites.

On the first night there, it rained. Quite unfortunate, we had nothing, no shelter no nothing. had to sleep in the rain. On the second day, i managed to finish my A-Frame and Fireplace. In fact, i finished most of my things, i only built my trap on the third day. Honestly, i didn't put alot of effort in making that damn trap. It was useless anyway, the monitor lizards there are so small, and also, there ain't much lizards around. The last day, we were assessed based on our site. I had to kill a quail. At first, i was afraid to kill it, and i dare not kill it. But i still kill it in the end and skinning it. It was quite an experience, a scary one of course. After killing it, we were able to eat it. Of course not raw, but after cooking it. Then the next day, the commencement of the LAST exercise.

Initially movement was quite slow, i was rather pissed. I actually wanted to do nothing for the last exercise but i took over in the end to hasten things up. Crossed a padi field and we ended up paying for the "invisible damages" we did to it. Crossing of the 7 knolls was expected, but when i counted, i think i only crossed 3 knolls. The rest of the knolls were avoided. We were the fifth group to arrive at the end point. Weiyang almost "died". His pack is really heavy, and i really admire him for his STRENGTH.

At the end of it, i was really glad it was over. Last few days of Brunei was returning stalls and area cleaning. We had a good dinner during our last night at that camp before proceeding to another camp in Brunei. On that day, UNLUCKILY, i got fever. But i was alright for R&R the next day.

Took loads of photos yesterday during R&R. Went to quite a few places. It wasn't boring at all. In fact, it was quite fascinating. We have been eating the whole day yesterday. We went to the wet market, water village, museums and malls, and we're given 3 hours to shop. The mall is as big as jurong point. I managed to buy quite alot of stuff for myself, and my brothers. HAHA. Dinner and lunch was the BOMB. Both are buffet, but sadly, i didn't have the appetite to eat so much.

A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales. today, is an awfully long day. had lunch with seng kiak and hui xiang at ajisen at ps. talk loads of cock during lunch. kiak really looks like a gangster, doesn't look like one that comes from HCJC. then walked around in ps to look for clothes. met up with qian xiang a while later, and then watched enchanted. the movie is hilarious, and romantic. yes, weird eh, 3 guys watching enchanted when the show is a romance type movie. huixiang never watch, he went to meet up with his gf.

i hung out with my juniors after that. saw austen along the way, and yes, as usual, i shouted across the mrt station to him... =_= habits die hard. had jap food again for dinner, and went hardrock to chill, at the same time, treated them to the drinks there lah. they paid a bit of it of course. and i went back home with JOSEPHINE!

went out with qian xiang, wild boar and eugene today. saw weijie at marina square as well. with his girlfriend of course. bowled, and lost. eugene had to head off early to look for HIS girl, while wild boar needs to go home leaving me with qian xiang. went to some book stores to look for a book - the alchemy of growth.

headed to lido to watch Saw 4. okay, it's gross at the start. but for the rest, i think it's alright. then met leong heng after the movie.

man, i've been quite lazy these days. i'm travelling via cab more than i use the mrt and buses.

there's nothing on in the afternoon tomorrow, hopefully i will do something worthwhile during the afternoon. meeting up with volleyball juniors and javier tomorrow for dinner. how nice, meeting up before brunei.

finally, my off in lieu is here. 4 days in a row. got nothing much to do these days, my friends are either studying for A levels/uni exams, going out with their gf/bf or in camp. i'm finally all alone.

was supposed to go sentosa today, all thanks to the bad weather, had to not go. there's no sun at all, whats the point of going. played soccer with plt 2 in the morning and was an hour late. went over to yishun to zhen hui's mom shop to eat youtiao. woke her up from her sleep that she badly wanted.. hahaha!

troubled her quite a lot today. i thought i lost my wallet, then she went to the coffeeshop to find THOROUGHLY. she was more gan chiong then i was. ha.

i was supposed to go to sentosa yesterday with sierra as well, fuck, it turns out that not many people are coming. mainly infantry guys are there, so it's like a bravo plt 2 outing. then we went to have lunch at secret recipe and headed for marina square for bowling and pool. we saw caterpillar and his gf and a lex tang and his gf. double date, watch movie.

it's been almost 2 weeks i've last updated.
i finally completed both of the exercises.
awfully tired after both exercises, when i got home, right after i finish my dinner, i simply laid down and slept.
it's been real busy last week. fortunately, there's a public holiday.
i managed to meet up with some of my sierra platoon mates, caught up with them and had some time spent together.
that holiday is certainly a break from all the tiring schedule.

my weekend is still the same - short.
i only had a sunday, but i will get back ALL of my "saturdays" next week.
MUAHAHAHA...
this meant another thing as well - JCC, i'm going to brunei soon.

this sucked.

i don't want to go.
knowing that i'm, in fact, going there to suffer just to earn a piece of cloth; the jcc badge.
people often say, it will bring me lots of pride.
PRIDE, why do people want it?
is PRIDE that important?
is that what life is all about??

i was told as well, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity, and i certainly agree with that. not everyone has got the chance to do the course. why not just put those who want to do it, do the course?!

i seriously don't want to go.

next week, there has been a series of leave for us.
hopefully, it will be well spent and not be left to waste away.

today i met up with my platoon mates to attend LTA Poh's wedding.
it's been two weeks we've got a chance to see one another.
the arti boys just came back from brunei, and it's going to be my turn soon.

then we went to chill at some place at maju something.
dharma actually drove there, took his car.
in my opinion, i really think he leads a good life.
he has a car, he can drive, has the money, girlfriend and a complete family.
i have nothing.

i wasn't feeling quite well today.
sometimes, i really wonder, what was i thinking.
i feel dumb and stupid.
some things are just left hanging, not attended to.

finally... service term has come to an end...
a part of me is telling me that i want service term to be longer..

it's been centuries since i've ever last blogged...
finally.. the service term is coming to an end..
in other words, no more fieldcamps in this service term..
FREE ME OF MY TORTURE!

for the past 10 weeks or so, i can say that life in here has been an average one..
trainings are tough, but yet, we're given welfare too..
4 nights out and also early book outs!

i can say that, life in this platoon has proved to be much nicer than the rest...
it has been a enjoyable experience...
there has been birthday surprises as well..
instructors who don't use coporal punishment to correct mistakes but tell us nicely..
things has been going quite smoothly in here i suppose...

personally...
i've made a few great friends in here...
all sorts of people with different personalities..
which proved interesting..

i had a great day today...
after my lessons...
i went to attend training..

helped coach and also played a game with the current batch...

just came back from a 3 days 2 nights chalet at downtown east...
it was terrific..
went wild wild wet and i realised it wasn't that fantastic...
it was rather a boring place to hang out at...
i didn't go to the Escape Theme Park...
well, that day i was tired..

had barbeque as usual..
food was catered...
and much leftovers..
we took quite a lot of photos...

the world is indeed small...

his room was below ours..

what i can say is that..

went for some amazing race at RP yesterday..
had to report there at 8..
teamed up with desmond, rajesh, hao jie and wenxian..
anyway,
it was noted that the game would start at 9 but it started at least half an hour later...

we finished the race with position 9th...
and the first position was some fatass..

two days ago..
over in malaysia..
everyone was carrying a smiley face..
due to chinese new year..
an occasion to be celebrated by chinese...

today..
something tragic took place..
my big aunt..
was involved in a car accident..
and she is now on her way to the hospital..
i heard that she is bleeding profusely..

i still remember how nice she is to everyone..
she has a kind heart..
she cooks GOOD..
she places others before herself.. she's selfless..

when i was in malaysia..
i didn't really talk to her..
but i did told her that her cooking was fantastic..
and i joked with her that she should set up her own business in a school canteen...
could see her happy face when i said she cooks good..
and she laughed out when i told her she should set up a stall..

in malaysia..
she was in the kitchen whole day long..
i didn't see her in the living room..
i guess she was spending quality time with her parents..
her kids were playing mahjong..(all above 18)
and so is her husband (play with the other older adults)

all i can say is that she has a kind heart..
i hope that she is all well and can recover soon..
i cant imagine the worse...

this tells us how life is unpredictable...
things may happen the next moment..
and u never know it..
don't keep positive thoughts about someone in mind..
let them know it..
at least they know someone appreciates him/her..

yesterday i went back to school...
